TAPEDECK WRECK is a 100% freestyle mixtape series recorded straight to cassette with no overdubs, edits, or playlisting...  The series aims to capture the raw flavor of the 90's era hip-hop shows on college radio stations like CKLN, CIUT & their NYC brethren...  Once an week, or so, I'll post up a new episode which you can stream, download, or watch on YouTube.   The official genre is True School Hip-Hop, but any head knows the wide palette of records and styles that the True School producers sampled from to create what we know and love as "Hip-Hop" & these tapes will definitely include ALL DOPE MUSIC.  Enjoy!

ROO X 12's & 45's

The bummer is beginning to set-in on my coming absence from this years Bonnaroo...

The line-up is actually way cooler than I initially judged, and I will sorely be missing the annual official kick-start of summer/insane-heat/booze/music marathon... What I can do is offer over two hours of tunes (recorded from vinyl), last June for 100+ degree F campground chilling/southern jovial driving...

So, if you're going:  WOO-HA!! & if ur not, well OSHEAGA looks promising...

Here's BX 45zN12z part: ONE and TWO

PS:  Lot's of super cool tapes COMING SOON and ALL SUMMER LONG!!

Hey Team,
Dropped this preview on the Facebook page on Valentine's & forgot to extend it all ze way to So, (not) pro... Anyways, I'm working on a new mixtape, which smashes some of my favorite Rocksteady grooves with some equally important TRUE-SCHOOL Hip-Hop joints... These tracks are from the final set on that mixtape. Much more to come. Enjoy!
